Ballet Classes

Bubble Babes – 6 months – 18 months
Bubble Babes classes run for 30 minutes using a variety of music including classical and nursery rhymes. Elements of ballet and dance are incorporated along with props and musical instruments to build fun themed classes.
The aim is predominantly bonding time for babies with parents but also support skills such as fitness, confidence, strength, creativity, co-
The classes are excellent for parents to meet new friends and enjoy themselves. We welcome Mummys, Daddys, Grandparents, childminders or anybody else who wants to share this enjoyable experience with a little one.
A child sings before it speaks, dances almost before it walks. Music is in our hearts from the beginning ~ Pamela Brown
Twinkle Tots - 18 months – 2.5 years
Most ballet classes are aimed at older children and parents can not join in. Being able to bring your little one at this young age encourages the bond between you. Whether you are a Mum, Dad, Carer, Grandparent etc -
Learning movement to music is quite an advanced skill. It helps develop children's bodies and brain by introducing simple exercises designed to develop their coordination, spatial awareness, creativity and self expression. It also aims to develop listening skills, memory, posture and balance through creative movement.
Classes focus on developing basic motor skills, basic ballet, basic rhythm and confidence so that children feel comfortable in their surroundings and in their own natural ability. All this learnt whilst having FUN! The interaction with other children is a good grounding for both nursery and school.
Kids: they dance before they learn there is anything that isn't music. ~ William Stafford
Magical Minis – 2.5 years – 3.5 years
These classes are designed to be creative and fun whilst learning basic ballet movements. Encouraging independence but not forcing it – it is entirely up to each parent whether they want to join in or sit at the side and watch. Using props mean the children are excited and keen to participate unleashing their imaginations in the process and singing along to their favourite nursery rhymes and songs.
Children will enjoy ‘performing’ for you. Some like the prospect of independence whereas others want it to be ‘your’ time participating together. The classes are designed to build and develop children’s minds and bodies focusing on coordination, creativity, self expression, listening skills, memory, posture, balance, gross motor skills and confidence
It's what I always wanted to do, to show the laughter, the fun, the joy of dance ~ Martha Graham
Sparkle Stars - 3.5 years - 5 years
Unlike traditional ballet sessions where the emphasis is on perfect points and pirouettes, the focus in these lessons is firmly on fun. By this age, the children have already developed their spatial awareness, balance and certain muscle tone by every day play. We aim to expand on the skills they have learnt plus add new ones. By already starting or about to begin preschool or Nursery it is vital that we encourage listening skills, discipline and confidence. The ballet skills taught are progressed as the body allows the children further balance etc. Still using props and imagination we transform your little ones into the 'stars' they want to be. Some will enjoy the balance aspect, others the performing and others the social interaction. Whatever they enjoy we will bring out their natural qualities whilst encouraging others. We encourage the parents to stay in the class some children still wanting adult participation. Everyone is different and we want to cater for each child's needs.
Dancing is just discovery, discovery, discovery ~ Martha Graham

Fairy Feet - 5 yrs - 6 yrs
These classes are more disciplined and skilled but the emphasis is still on enjoyment. We do not focus on body image or the child's turnout. As the child is already at school the social aspect of a fun activity with peers is a great advantage for creativity, interaction and confidence building. The ballet exercises still strengthen their muscles, help balance and co-ordination and promote a healthy lifestyle. We encourage the children to be left in these lessons to build on independence and discourage self awareness issues but only if both child and adult are comfortable with this.
Props and imagination are vital tools in these lessons and we aim to highlight your child's natural ability without embarrassing or picking on their weaker skills. As uniform is not compulsory - the children need to feel comfortable in their clothes. We also want them to feel comfortable in their surroundings and with the teacher this will enable their dancing flair.
